Eastermas Lore

🐣 The Easter Origins

Long before Eastermas, there was simply Easter — a celebration of renewal, colour, and the quiet magic of spring. The earliest stories speak of a world waking from winter’s grip, where painted eggs symbolised the return of life and the promise of brighter days.

Communities gathered to share food, decorate eggs, and welcome the season with gentle rituals. These traditions formed the foundation of what would eventually evolve into something far more elaborate — a hybrid festival that merged winter’s warmth with spring’s rebirth.

Easter was a time of joy, simplicity, and pastel‑coloured hope. But in the centuries that followed, the world changed — and so did its inhabitants.

🐇✨ The Rise of Eastermas

In the age now known as the Eastermas Era, humanity faded and the Leporine Orders emerged — a society of intelligent bunnies who inherited the traditions of both Easter and the winter holidays.

These bunnies formed a deeply spiritual community, blending ancient spring rites with the ceremonial warmth of festive winter gatherings. They believed themselves chosen to maintain the balance between renewal and celebration, guarding the sacred cycle of seasons.

Their temples — carved burrows illuminated with soft lanterns — echoed with hymns about rebirth, kindness, and the eternal dance between snow and blossom. They replaced human customs with their own: carrot offerings, moonlit egg blessings, and the Great Burrow Procession that marks the turning of the year.

To the Leporine faithful, Eastermas is not just a holiday. It is a covenant — a promise to honour the past while guiding the future with gentle paws and unwavering devotion.
